Wow where did the last two months go. We have been very busy. Since my last blog we have.

*Went to Dallas for Easter
*Went to Lisa's wedding
*Went to my Mother in Laws wedding
*Went on our Honeymoon (Play del Carmen)
*Went to Averi's Birthday Party
*Went to Blakes's Birthday Party
*Went to the wildlife park

Those are a few of the highlights of the last couple months. Charlotte has gotten so big and is talking alot more. She tells us when she wants to go outside, put on her shoes, tells us "No" a lot and is saying Thank You! Today she was putting on her shoe and we did not know where the other one was. We asked her where it is and she said not clearly but said "I don't know".

She loves to play outside.. and loves her pink soccer ball. We are going to try and go to the pool as much as possible this summer.

A couple of weeks ago my Friend Kyla and her fiance came to visit in Houston. She took the best picture of Charlotte at lunch! She had a really good tome at lunch as you can see from the mac and cheese on her dress!

I can't believe it is already the end of March. Charlotte has had a pretty exciting time since she has turned one. We had our first valentines, first zoo trip and have been visiting the play ground on the few sunny days we have had.

She is now fourteen mouths old. And what she does everyday amazes me.. she has quiet the little silly personality. She loves to do silly things to make us and her especially laugh. She loves to hide from me, play in a bubble bath, play and dance to music, and throw her food.

I can't believe it is almost her second Easter.. she will love hunting for eggs this year.

First Birthday

Charlotte turned 1 on January 12! I can not believe she is one.. Time has flown by!
Here are some fun Charlotte facts
She started officially walking at 11.5 months!! She is definitely on the go now!
She loves to eat everything in sight especially waffles, mac and cheese and chicken nuggets!
She has three teeth and a few more coming in.
She has become such a good sleeper!
She is talking/babbling alot more.. she said car the other day or at least that is what it sounded like!
She is pointing at everything in sight!
She is very curious! She is always exploring.
She loves to look through books!

She had a wonderful Birthday Party! It was lady bug themed! A ton of our friends and family helped us celebrate the joyous occasion! She got so many wonderful gifts! Her favorite is the chair Mason and I gave her.. she loves to sit in it and hang out!

First Christmas!! 2009

Charlotte had a wonderful Christmas! First we opened up gifts here in Sugar Land, then she got to go to Grandmama's and open gifts, then to Grandpa's to open gifts,then to Grandma's and open gifts!! Mason believes she will think Christmas is a three day holiday! She also got to experience a white Christmas for her first Christmas!

Not a big fan of the SNOW! She is a Houstonian after all!

Charlotte is very close to turning one. Where did the time go?? She has had a pretty busy life since the last time I blogged. We went to Dallas for Thanksgiving. She had a blast eating turkey, sweet potatoes, and anything else should could get her hands on. She got to spend sometime time with her two cousins. Slate and Colin, they are 21months and 5 months. She loves them and I really wish that we lived closer to them so she could see them more often.

The most exciting thing about Thanksgiving is that Charlotte took her first steps on that day. IT was amazing to see!! She is still not full blown walking yet but she is taking steps all the time now... my little go-getter!!

She has also become way more vocal.. she has said Dada and Mama, Baby, Door and what sounded like Grandma..

She also loves books!!

I am so blessed that she is my daughter. I am mega excited about her First Birthday.. I need to get the invitations out really soon!!

We took Charlotte to get Christmas Pictures and some one year old shoots taken. She did prefect. I loved the place we took her too! Portrait Innovations.

So it is official! Mason and I are now husband and wife. It is very exciting. The wedding was awesome. I think everyone had a great time. Charlotte was one of the flower girls. Although she did not walk down the aisle since she can't walk just yet (very close). We got married in Weatherford at the Willow Lake Wedding Gardens on October 17. I could not have asked for better weather. It was beautiful!

We did however, have to postpone our real honeymoon due to a hurricane that was lurking around Cabo and Puerto Vallharta. We plan on going in May. Thank God we got travellers insurance.

We ended up going to Fredricksburg for a little over three days. It was fun and relaxing but I am still looking forward to the real honeymoon later!

Halloween and now a cold

Charlotte's first Halloween was a great success. I took her on Friday to the children's museum and the daycare fall festival. On Saturday, we took some pictures at the pumpkin patch. Then we went to the neighborhood party. After the party, we handed out candy to the trick or treaters.

Charlotte was a lady bug for Halloween but I also had a pumpkin costume for the patch pictures.

She was not a big fan of the costume or the pumpkins. Apparently orange is not her favorite color. Which I can understand, since I went to A&M and Mason went to Tech.

She had way more fun being a lady bug and passing out candy!

Or just throwing it around!

The weekend was great but I think the weather change got to my lil girl and now she has a horrible cold. Not fun! She is still in good spirits and I know she is looking forward to next year when she can trick or treat for real. But only if she is wearing a very warm costume.

Alot has been happening in the Smith House. Charlotte got to experience her parents getting married on October 17. It was a beautiful day and she loved it! Once I get the CD of the wedding pictures, I will be posting all of our photos.

Charlotte had her first Halloween. The daycare had a fall festival. The director took some pictures for us. Here is one of the family.

We also went to the Children's museum on Friday. She was having fun playing with my camera as I took pics with my phone.

Joy, Rachelle and I took our kids to the children's museum in Houston on Friday. They have a brand new infant room for children from birth to 36 months. It is really great because Charlotte can practice walking and crawl around on the soft surfaces they have. They also have a mini children's library and a huge assortment of different toys. It was a blast and definitely will be a frequent play date place for Friday's off.

I am so behind on my posts. Charlotte is almost 8 months old. The time flys when you are having fun :) She changes everyday and amazes me everyday. She loves to wave and clap and pull herself up on the coffee table. She has even started cruising a little.. the walking will soon follow I feel.. scary. We got her pictures taken a couple of weeks ago. Here are the unedited versions of the photos. I think she did really good.

Charlotte will be seven months in about 3 days. She is already doing so much. Here are some fun facts about Charlotte to date.

1)She started crawling when she was 6.5 months which is amazing
2)She loves to clap her hands
3)She loves her Baby Einstein music box
4)She loves to bang on her little piano

She also had her six month check up a couple of weeks ago. She was 17lbs 10oz and almost 28" long. She is a big girl.

I love watching her grow and I am so very blessed to be her mommy. Everyday she amazes me.

Charlotte turned six months old on Sunday. She is getting so big. She is just about to start crawling which is exciting but also scary. We have had to child proof the house more to prepare for this new life change. She has also learned how to wave bye-bye and hello (she doesn't say the words yet).. too cute.

Where has the time gone?? Charlotte will be five months old tomorrow. This is crazy!! I went through all of her clothes yesterday and put up things she could not fit anymore!! SO many clothes went into to storage. As I was going through the clothes, I started getting really sad putting them up.. She is growing too fast.. I need her to slow down :)

Identity Crisis

Okay most everyone knows I went to Texas A&M and Mason went to Texas Tech.. so of course we buy Charlotte cute outfits from these schools.. However, I am worried when that day comes in the far/near future she will have a really hard time picking..especially since her daddy is such a pusher.. but we all know she will choose A&M.. gig em!!!

I started Charlotte on solid foods right after her fourth month doctor visit. So far it is an adventure. She did not want anything to do with the rice cereal at first but then I add applesauce to the mix and that changed her mind. I definitely thought she would take to the solid foods like a fish does water but she is surprising me a little. After the third/fourth try, she finally started to like it (I also figured out that mixing fruit into the cereal helped). I also have to sing a silly song for her to really like it!! "Yummy Yummy Yummy in the Tummy Tummy Tummy"! Here are some pics of her enjoying her food.

Charlotte's 4 month doctor visit was a success! She is 14.5 lbs and 26 inches long! She is in the 95% of height and 75% of weight. So she is a big girl! She definitely is getting the height from daddy's family!

Charlotte is growing so much it is crazy. She was already rolling from back to tummy at 2 months and now she rolls the other way too! She has been doing this for a couple weeks. She is a little moving fool.. soon she will be crawling! She is also getting more vocal. She makes all kinds of sounds now!

Hardest Day of My Life

Today was Charlotte's first day at day care. I cried the whole time I dropped her off. I was very difficult. I hate that I have to leave her somewhere. I hope that I choose the right day care for her. I went to the two that I like the best in the middle of the day. One was really nice but chaotic. They had 8 babies on one side of the room that were not mobile and 8 babies on the other side that were crawling/cruising. It was very nice but I had some doubts. The other one had six babies there and only 3 are full time. The teachers were really nice and experienced. It wasn't as fancy as the other day care but I felt good about who would be watching her. It is just so hard to leave your child with someone else for that long. I just want to make sure that I made the best choice. I guess only time will tell.

First Easter

Last weekend was Charlotte's first easter..We drove all the way up to Weatherford and Dallas. She did pretty good in the care considering how long the trip was. It took us 6.5 hours compared to the usual 4. She looked beautiful in her easter dress. She did very good at church.. well at least to then end and then daddy had to hold her for a little while.. Overall it was a good first Easter.

Well the time has finally arrived. I have to go back to work. I am very sad about it. But thank God my mom is coming to stay with her for a month so no day care for a little while longer. I am going to miss her so much.

We are currently 27 weeks pregant with our first child.. We are so excited!! We have decided to name her Charlotte Elizabeth Smith.. which I think is beautiful..

We are currently in the process of getting the nursery together. We bought a crib and have the bedding. We just need the changing table, mattress and rocker.. then we should be good to go.
